Document Collaboration
Collaborator™ provides a secure platform for document review and revision. You can track feedback/comments from clients and co-counsel, and review an audit trail that tracks who has reviewed a document. Collaborator™ includes automated redlines between document versions, and an integrated metadata scrubber. Collaborator™ fully integrates with your local network or document management system, including replication and synchronization.
Email Alerts and Notifications
Collaborator™ provides each user with email notifications as well as a "What's New" area to highlight all of the new information that has been changed. Each User can elect to have immediate notifications whenever new information is added or subscribe to a daily digest which provides a summary email at the end of each business day.
Calendar Feature with Outlook Integration
Collaborator™ lets you view multiple matter calendars in one view, and includes a tickler system.
Customizable Database Tool
Collaborator™ includes a powerful SQL database tool that lets you create custom, web-enabled databases within any given matter in minutes. This tool permits firms to create new "features" within any given extranet matter to track any information that may be relevant. These databases can be securely shared with any parties with which you wish to provide access. For example: Let's say a company is involved in Merger & Acquisition transaction, and a firm has been engaged to perform due diligence. As firm attorneys come upon problematic documents, they can be set aside in a Collaborator™ Due Diligence Database. Attorneys from different locations/firms can contribute to the database, and the client can review it at any time.
As a firm you are now able to roll out web databases instantaneously without having to undertake any custom software development or configure external access through your firewall to an internally developed custom database.
System Reporting
With Collaborator™, you can create custom reports to track information within the system. This can include marketing oriented information (ie how many extranets have been created for various clients, practice groups, office location, etc.) as well as matter-specific reports (i.e. number of documents for each extranet, last time they were accessed, etc.)
Secure Threaded Discussions
Collaborator™ provides secure bulletin boards on which users can privately discuss key matters. Communications can be organized by client, by case, or by matter. Private conferencing works better than e-mail for ongoing discussions, as users always have access to an organized, dated thread of information containing previous comments.
Case Blog/Notes Tool
Collaborator™'s Blog feature provides a forum for real-time analysis of case/matter developments.
Full Text Searching
